Another Small El Porto Friday

I know I keep claiming that every weeks video is the worst.  But this week, I think we’ve completed a trilogy of lame.  Hopefully this video won’t be our Return of the Jedi or Godfather III. The waves were even smaller this week – mostly knee high with the rare waist high.  But the waves still just have no strength.  So even if you charge down the face, there’s no momentum to keep you riding.  Most of what you see in this video is sweet slow surfing, lots of crouching to lower center-of-gravity and us sinking at the end of our rides.  It was like trying to ride a bike real slow.  And then there was a lot of gunning for the cameraman while making the serious surfing face and threatening with karate hands.

Despite the tiny waves, we had crew of a half dozen today – Chris, Mike, Peter, Aaron, a freshly shaven Josh and me.  The best part about today was that everyone got in on the cinematography, so I got to try out almost every board we had out there today…because this was today the day to try out some boards! But, as always, we still had fun.

Also, I think I saw one of EPF’s tweeps out there today.  @AaronIkeda, did I see you out there on a blue board?
