The Mush Goes On

Surfline called for the same conditions today as yesterday.  So Donnie and I though we’d try our longboards today to see if it made much difference.  The waves were the same – all size and no strength.  But with the longboards we were able to paddle into a bit more than yesterday and we were able to stay on a bit longer.  But still, all efforts went into staying on the wave.  So, though we had slightly better rides, I wouldn’t necessarily say that today was anymore fun that yesterday.

But once again, the sun was warm and the water was warm and clear, so there’s that.

I was out surfing yesterday, and there was still a bit of the big swell left over from earlier last week.  Left over swell tends to come infrequently.  The sets coming rolling in as they will.  One set comes.  A second set rolls through.  Three sets go by.  Then something looks amiss in deep water….
