With all the infernos blazing in Southern California, there is ash falling like snow. Many of us are finding our cars, houses and such covered in a layer of the powdery gray. Today while driving I saw something of note. Though the ash falling was still in full force, I saw a man cleaning the ash that had collected on the tarp covering his boat with an electric blower while smoking a cigarette. I chalked it up to some weird hillbilly logic that I could never understand.
