Section-E at Beach Bowls

Another subpar surf session.  I went out during my lunch break for a quick one, but there wasn’t much there.  (Still no reason not to go out though.)  The wind is really taking its toll on the waves.  Surface texture is giving way to plain ol’ chop and the waves couldn’t have been more sectiony.  The best I could hope for was a decent drop in, but even that was a bit hard to come by.  But I took the Electric out and charged the waves the best I could.  I seem to be improving on my take-offs though.  I’m not dragging my back foot off the tail so much.  I really got into a bad habit of banging my foot on the pop-up to the point that I had a permanent open wound on my toe-knuckle until about a week ago.  Lazy foot.

I was out surfing yesterday, and there was still a bit of the big swell left over from earlier last week.  Left over swell tends to come infrequently.  The sets coming rolling in as they will.  One set comes.  A second set rolls through.  Three sets go by.  Then something looks amiss in deep water….
