Christmas Trumps Halloween

Christmas has finally trumped Halloween. When Christmas started encroaching on Thanksgiving we all joked, “What’s next? Are they going after Halloween?” Much like the warnings in the moving “Network,” that which we’ve jokes about as a “ludicrous extreme” have now come to be truth. It was a Big Lots TV commercial. They advertised their Christmas wrapping paper deals and decorations steals. Boo, Big Lots. For shame. So, I’d just like to go on record as being the first to make the joke, “So what’s next? Christmas commercials on the 4th of July?!”
