El Porto Report from the Field

I’ve developed a delightful head cold and had to bow out of surfing today. (Sorry, that means no video this week.) But I did get a report from Aaron, so I will summarize that for you.  So here is the first official 2nd hand surf report translated via text messages.  (Although, I’d like to also point out that I am currently heavy into some NyQuil, I have no idea what’s going on.)

It was pretty windy and textured.
From the parking lot Josh and I were deciding if it was worth it or not.
Peter led the charge saying “I thought we came here to surf.”
We paddled out into the chowder, mushy 2s and 3s with some plus sets.
But it sort of cleaned up and we ended up getting some nice chest to shoulder waves.
Current was a mess, over all fun.

Mike was modeling his new psycho 2.
Everyone was singing the praises of the psycho 2
Mike said “I can’t believe I could even function in that other crappy suit, it felt like cardboard.”
Everyone turns to look at me and pete says, “You mean like AAs suit!”
I call it the “Strawman.”
Yeah, mike got a suit on craigslist.
Which I might need to do.
I need something.
My suit blows.

I took a LATE shoulder high drop in today
On chev
And Josh was stoked
He was paddling out and I dropped in right by him, he gave me a big ol’ HOOT!
So fun
He got some nice rides too.
