Next month will bring to a close my third year of employment at my place of employment and, by default, make way for year four. In all those years I have made use of the Big City Bagels in the same building complex to score my coffee. Over these years, the owner and I have come to know each other quite well to the point of knowing when each other is going on vacation and asking how each other’s spouse has been since last inquired about. Sure I could not tell you his name, but I will always know him as The Boss. “Anyone need to see The Boss,” was a daily phrase in my office. And everyday I would refill my Big City Bagel mug for 69
