It’s hard to think about breaking boards when the ocean is so flat like it is today (assuming you are reading on the day this posts). But just one week ago the whole of southern California was firing and we were loving it. But as we reported last week, we loved it at a price. When my leash broke, I was bummed because I stilled had the energy for a few more waves if I had a leash, but I did not the energy to repeatedly chase down my board when I ate it. However, I did think, “Oh man, I’m going to have the best story today!” But then I get out of the water with CW and his mangled foot is bleeding into the sand. And then Uzair calls from a few miles north with tales of his broken onion board. Double trumped!
