Welcome Back Yang Liwei
If you have not heard, and aparently most Americans have not, China is now the third nation to put a human being into space. I have been following this story since I first heard news that China has plans to put a man in orbit earlier this year. I am a big proponent of space exploration. It is a worthwhile human endeavour. Many may argue otherwise, but this log is not about the pros and cons of NASA. So, upon finding out that another country had such ambitions was very exciting for me.
What I found interesting was the lack of interest by America. The only news I could consistantly get on the subject was from the BBC. Is manned space exploration pass
I see your sexy comment, but you are a MARRIED MAN, and besides, you couldn’t afford me, honey! 😉
Cookies are functioning and all seems right with the world… let’s go be Chinese Tychonauts!!
I actually heard some coverage on NPR. I think the problem is that we already did this, like, 40 years ago. I don’t think the US has a lack of interest per se, but our interest can be likened to applauding a much younger sibling who has just learned to ride a bike.
Woot Woot! I don’t have to fill in my info…I think I have cookies turned on after all?! but no special message…I’ll keep my eye out though ;o)
uh oh, my homepage link (and Mia’s) doesn’t work…
Yeah, I noticed the homepage thing too. You two don’t have “http://” before your address, so it thinks it is part of my site. I am working on that. Entschuldegung.
BAM!
I’m testing without the http:// in front right now…if it doesn’t work…then I’ll add it ;o)
ooooh!!! You’re a genious I say, a genious! no “http://” necessary…thanks!
BTW, did you notice that all of your entries are one day off? Also I can get to Mia and Frou’s webpages.
Opps, I think you misunderstood, today’s entry welcome back yang was labeled Oct 15 and is now labeled Oct 13. I know, I m a pain. Just trying to be a second set of eyeballs
