No less than 3 people have complained to me of late for not updating my website since late June. And not just an email saying “what’s up?” but rather starting an in-person conversation with “You haven’t updated your site!” Dear irate readers, I have no excuse. I have failed you. I lay myself out eProstrate virtually before you. Let me get you caught up.

My wife, Miranda Kopfschmertzen, and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 24th of June. We saw Nacho Libre and ate sushi. (Not at the same time, though we did once sneak sushi into a movie theater.)

The next day we met up with some long ago friends from college, Snow Globe and The Grateful Doctor. (Not sure on the latter’s nickname yet. Also considering The Grateful PhuD, Doctor J and Jeremy B Hawkins.) Extremely exciting reunion. We had a lunch date set for noon. We were still in the restaurant when the dinner crowd started to come in. Boy howdy did we get the stink eye from the wait staff. So we left the restaurant to wander for treats. Didn’t actually get home from our lunch date until 10pm.

Celebrated Independence Day at my wife’s, Miranda Kopfschmertzen’s, uncle’s house. Good times there as well, but once again we lost the water balloon toss. We just aren’t destined to ever win that event.

Met up with Snow Globe and Doctor J again on last Friday for an advanced screening of You, Me and Dupree, courtesy of Snow Globe’s sweet connections. Once again, super fun. But plebeians be aware. There may be cushy leather seats in your movie theater for Hollywood big wigs that are inaccessible to you – you, the common viewer, the paying customer. Those comfy chairs were awesome. I may never be able to go back to regular movie goer seats.

Completed the World Cup on Sunday July 9th. Watched every game. Overall it was a great World Cup. Wasn’t happy with the outcome, but that’s what makes it fun. However, I always find it a bummer when the final match (or any match) has to be decided by penalty kicks.

Went to the dentist on Monday. All’s well there.

And then this week has just been a lot of surfing and goofing off…enjoying the summer.

So, there you go. Lots of exciting stuff, but nothing outlandish.
