Lost: Desmond and His Symbol

First of all, Lost is back on, and that is flippin’ sweet. I hope you have at least watched the season opener. Otherwise, read no further, adventurous reader! Or, if you do not watch Lost, then you may read on, but this may not interest you.

Anyway, so now there is this Desmond character who told Jack some time ago that he would “…see [Jack] in another life.” Oh, telling words! Anyway, on Desmond’s jumpsuit (which is fly) and on Desmond’s locker is the symbol shown to the left. It’s been a while since I’ve seen The Karate Kid, but I am pretty sure that is Kobra Kai. And you know what that means! That’s right – We’re going to need a body bag.

Also, a note on episode 2 of season 2 on Lost. (If you have not seen episode 2, please turn away while you read this.) I don’t know if you noticed it too, but that shark that terrorized Mike and Sawyer was also Kobra Kai. It had a Kobra Kai tattoo on his tail. Man, that shark scared me so much that I totally wanted to run away from it, just like Daniel-san ran away from the Kobra Kai at the Halloween party. Anyway I ask you this – Did Lost just inadvertently jump the shark? Because Sawyer literally jumped that Kobra Kai shark. Do you think the Lost people are making a preemptive shark jump, much like a boyfriend will break up with a girlfriend because he was sure that the girlfriend was going to break up with him? “I thought you were going to k-leave me.”
