Friday Letters To Congress: Solar POWER! (POW R)

This week, I proposed to my congressman that I be a guinea pig for solar power technology. I looked into it – to install solar power in my house, even with government grants will cost upwards of $20,000. And I love the environment, but I have no intention of turning my wife, Miranda Kopfschmertzen, my dog, The Nudge and myself, Lordleiter into hobos. (I still love technology.) So I proposed to my congressman: The Lordleiter-Rohrabacher Solar initiative – to power my house with solar technology to prove to the world that oil is not the only fuel The Earth provides. I suggested that said initiative would look great on he resume. (Let’s face it, “Republican” is just not going to cut it for 2006.)

Also this works out great for my Edison bills; which are astronomical. I don’t hold out much hope, but I will keep you informed (By the way, we are still going to talk about postcarding…you slackers).
